Hung King Festival

Hung King Festival is dedicated to the memory of the Hung kings, who are considered the ancient founders of the nation. The celebrations are centered around the Hung Temple in the small town of Co Tich.

The tenth day of the month, the third day of the festival, marks the sacred anniversary of the death of the Hung Kings. Vietnamese people gather at the foot of the mountain on which the Hung Temple is and ascend the mountain.

Liberation Day

April 30 is the date of the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War when communist forces took over the city. During this period, the city was renamed Ho Chi Minh City in honor of the famous leader of the North. It is here that the most important celebrations of the holiday take place.
