Port of Aden (YEADA)

Aden Port

The Port of Aden is Yemen’s primary seaport, located east of the Red Sea and Bab El Mandeb. The port has multiple facilities, including the Ma’alla Terminal and the Aden Container Terminal (ACT), which have operated since 1999. The ACT can accommodate two Panamax-class ships and has a container yard with a capacity of 10,000 TEUs. The port handles a diverse range of cargo, such as containerized goods, general cargo, and oil.

Port of Al Hudaydah (YEHOD)

Hodeidah is Yemen’s fourth-biggest city. Located on the Red Sea’s western coast, the Port of Al Hodeidah is a significant seaport that specializes in exporting commodities such as cotton, coffee, and dates. About 80% of the country’s commercial imports pass through its facilities. 

Port of Saleef (YESLF)

The Port of Saleef is situated about 50 km north of Al Hodeidah on Kamaran Bay. It primarily handles bulk cargo, mainly grain and salt exports.

Port of Al Mukalla (YEMUK)

Port of Al Mukalla serves the Hadhramaut Governorate in eastern Yemen. The port handles various cargo types, including containerized goods, general cargo, and oil products.

Port of Mokha (YEMOK)

The Port of Mocha is said to be the oldest one in the Arabian Peninsula and Gulf. Although it is small, it handles general cargo and has historically been significant for the coffee trade.
